When you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed, what are some things you do to relax?
Do you have a comfort food? Comfort song?
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
What things make you the most “weary?”
Which of these is a burden that you have carried? Which is your most common struggle?
- Emotional stuff
Which of these tend to cause most of your stress and burdens? Why do you think that is?
Why is it important that we learn to deal with burdens and things that wear us down?
Have you seen people use unhealthy things to deal with these struggles?
What do you think Jesus meant when he said, “come to me?”
What do you think Jesus meant when he said, “I will give you rest?”
Have you experienced that rest?
